Auré­lia Marie

Auré­lia Marie is head of the trade­marks, designs, domain names and copy­right depart­ment at Cabi­net Beu de Lomé­nie. She spe­cia­li­ses in the law of dis­tinc­ti­ve signs (trade­marks, com­pa­ny names, tra­de names, domain names, etc.), designs and copy­right, both as regards acqui­ring such rights and explo­i­t­ing them. She also has wide exper­ti­se in con­duc­ting due dili­gence reviews on port­fo­li­os of trade­marks and designs, con­tracts, adver­ti­sing law and unfair competition.

She is a French trade­mark attor­ney and a Euro­pean trade­mark attor­ney with a post-gra­dua­te degree (DESS) in the law and prac­ti­ce of inter­na­tio­nal con­tracts from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Paris X (1986). She obtai­ned her cer­ti­fi­ca­te of qua­li­fi­ca­ti­on to prac­ti­se as a bar­ris­ter in 1987. She began her care­er working in the agree­ments and intel­lec­tu­al pro­per­ty depart­ment of a lar­ge indus­tri­al group. She obtai­ned her cer­ti­fi­ca­te of qua­li­fi­ca­ti­on to prac­ti­se as a bar­ris­ter in 1987 and then prac­ti­sed as an attor­ney at law for several years in a firm spe­cia­li­sing in intel­lec­tu­al pro­per­ty law. At the same time she obtai­ned a post-gra­dua­te degree in indus­tri­al pro­per­ty law from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Paris II (1988). She joi­ned Cabi­net Beau de Lomé­nie in 1993 and beca­me a part­ner in 2003.

Auré­lia Marie regu­lar­ly gives lec­tures on Chris­to­phe Caron’s 2nd year master’s degree in “pro­tec­tion of brands and models” at LEXPIA (Facul­ty of Law, Paris XII University).
